Contemporary Jazz and new wave music
We try to invite musicians who have shaped the history of improvised jazz since the 60's. Marilyn CRISPELL, Alexander VON SCHLIPPENBACH, Joelle LEANDRE, Michael PORTAL, Marc RIBOT, Jacques DI DONATO, Joachim KUHN, Louis SCLAVIS amongst many many others who have left their mark on the festival over the years.
Luz Jazz also promotes unpublished artists, rare performances and new artists.
Luz Jazz is also an occasion for young musicians to make their debut in an internationally acclaimed festival.
At the end of the evening Luzz Jazz proposes sessions of improvised music.

kids festival
Opening the way for kids to experience good music is a way for them to discover something other than bland pop music...We also give them the opportunity to discover musical instruments and to even make them. During the course of the festival we have a variety of activities just for them...
