The ski lifts at the Luz Ardiden ski resort remain closed until further notice. The mountain area is not secure and is therefore the responsibility of the user, whether on the ski slopes, the toboggan run or the pedestrian-snowshoe route. Shuttle services, daycare, cafeteria, left-luggage office are currently unavailable. Only the ESF snow garden and a small refreshment bar are open for the February holidays.
Looking for steep descents, powder and off-piste? Or just learnt how to snow-plough? There is something for everyone at the foot of the slopes and at the top of the slopes. With 60 km of slopes and two ski areas just 12 km from the village of Luz Saint-Sauveur, this is an all-level ski resort with something for everyone.
Luz Ardiden is undoubtedly the perfect resort to learn how to ski with a state of the art children’s beginners’ area with a covered magic carpet ski lift, a first steps area with 2 magic carpets lifts and a toboggan run.
With 29 runs including 17 reds, skiers will enjoy good quality snow thanks to the resort’s altitude (1,680m – 2,500m) and orientation.
Skiing is also about thrills – there is a snow park adapted to all levels: an intermediates border cross and beginners’ freestyle and an advanced freestyle zone.
For extreme and off-piste thrills, discover the Bernazaou wilderness which begins at Cloze’s highest point. Ride 1,250m of powder on skis or a snowboard with a qualified ski instructor.
