Tour de France in Luz Ardiden

Luz Ardiden in the limelight for the arrival of the 18th stage of the Tour de France 2021!

On July 15th, Luz Ardiden will be the prestigious arrival of the 18th stage of this long-awaited event. That day, the riders will set off from the city of Pau to evolve on a difficult course, passing through the Col du Tourmalet, in which they will have to redouble their efforts to reach the end of the 25 technical laces of the ascent of Luz Ardiden (more than 1000m D + in 13 km, average slope: 7.5%, max slope: 9%). An end of the stage on the Pyrenean terrain which gives pride of place to this historic climb, classified out of category by the Tour de France. For the 9th time since 1985, the best climbers will be in their element.

    Access to the pass by chairlifts (free)

    Pic du Midi open from 9 a.m. and Barèges Bike Park open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Descent: Evacuation of vehicles parked above Barèges via the Col du Tourmalet

    No shuttle to the arrival site

11 p.m .: Fireworks in the colors of the Tour de France shot from the Solférino Chapel

From 12 p.m .: Broadcast of the Tour de France stage on a giant screen in front of the Tourist Office and in the bars of the village
10 a.m.> 12 p.m. / 2:30 p.m.> 4:30 p.m .: Show and introductions to BMX, musical entertainment
From 9 a.m .: Covid-19 vaccination without appointment
