Despite the closure of the road from Luz to Villelongue, several restaurants remain open this fall:

  • Chez Pif Oyster bar – Open for lunch (except Thursday) and evening (except Monday) – Closed Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Chez Alex – Open for lunch and dinner
  • La Hountalade – Open in the evening until 9/10
  • La Tasca – Open for lunch and dinner until November (closed Wednesday and Sunday)
  • La Terrasse – Open for lunch and dinner (closed in the evening in November)
  • Le Cairn – Open only on weekends
  • Le Rest’O du Marmiton – Open from 10/15 (closed Tuesday and Wednesday)
  • Luz et Coutumes – Open in the evening by reservation (closed on Sunday)
  • Pizz’Ariane – Open in November
  • Bakery des Gaves – Hot and cold sandwiches, and drinks to take away every day)
  • Auberge de Viella – Open every day for lunch and dinner until 10/11
  • Chez Rosette in Sers – Open every day for lunch and dinner until 9/10
  • Le Vagabond in Esquièze-Sère – Open from 17/10
  • The Kitchen in Esquièze-Sère – Open from 9 to 23/10, service only for lunch (closed Tuesday)
  • Txoko in Esquièze-Sère  – Take-out pizza vending machine 24/7

Local Pyrenean restaurants welcome you throughout the year to taste the local Garbure (local stew), AOP (PDO) Gavarnie lamb and Tarbes beans, local cheeses, Gâteau à la broche (Skewer cake); Tarte aux Myrtilles (Blueberry cake); and other regional dishes.
