On the pastoral paths

The Pyrenees National Park

Luz is at the gateway to a protected area with a rich diversity of natural, cultural and landscape sites, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, with many endemic and emblematic species.

The Néouvielle Nature Reserve

This reserve, which protects the granite Massif du Néouvielle, is remarkable for its many lakes and the diversity of its sumptuous landscapes with their azure and turquoise colours.

Our mountain lakes

The Pyrenees are also renowned for their many mountain lakes that feed the network of penstocks for the hydroelectric power stations in the valley : Bastampe, Ets Coubous…


In a bivouac or in a refuge, savor the tranquility of a night in the mountains and admire the stars as if it were raining…
